Salt Lake City , Utah | Engagement Session

Had someone told me a month ago that I would photograph this couples engagement session in Salt Lake City I would have laughed in their face, but I did & it was amazing. Calvin & McKenna are such a funny, sweet & outgoing couple. They met 6 years ago in a Walmart , McKenna set her sights on Calvin that day & the rest is in the love-story history books now. They love winter & will say their ‘I do’s’ this coming December, which I’m so thrilled to be capturing. They also love snowboarding together in the mountains which is why they chose Salt Lake City for their engagement session location. You might say I was a little excited about that 😉

We drove around Salt Lake City like the tourists we were the evening our plane landed. We set out to scout as many of our pre-planned locations as possible before sunset. Afterwards we ate dinner & then drove up to check out a location our waiter was kind enough to recommend. Thanks to him we happened by an area with a clear night view overlooking the city, it was pretty amazing to see everything glisten & the traffic lights turn from up above.

We woke up & headed out to our locations before sunrise the next day. It was well worth it though & I know we’re all happy that we did. The lighting with the mountains in the background was just perfect!
