Tanner & Rebecca | Danville, Illinois Engagement Session

Tanner & Rebecca are getting married later on this month so we did a short engagement session for them at Kickapoo in Danville, Illinois. It was crazy windy & poured down rain the whole day,  I love rainy e-sessions but it was a little TOO much rain. Thankfully, it slowed down enough for us to make it through the end of the day without getting soaking wet. I just love the look images have after or during a rainy day, especially in the spring. That type of look and golden hour (right before sunset) are my 2 favorite types of outdoor lighting.

It was a crazy engagement session that’s for sure, we had plenty of laughs. First off, I never knew how hard it was to configure scrabble pieces in someone’s hand, I have shaky hands when I am placing small things, I never could play operation as a kid. Second, I have never gotten stuck in the mud at a session. Boy was I ever so thankful that my client happens to be a Chevy guy, much like the guy I married which these two remind me of us, so much!! The Chevy truck, the love of outdoors it kept me smiling and even the comedy between the two over his obsession with the Chevy truck, haha!! I am so happy to be working with this family, they have a little guy together and he is such a cutie, I met him at our consult & he’s such a smiley-flirty-eyed little boy. I’ll be photographing them become more of a family then they already are and that’s such a beautiful thing to be a part of! I can’t wait!
